Japanese machine tool orders fell in January 2012

Recently, according to the Japan Machine Tool Builders Association (JMTBA) statistics, in January 2012, the Japanese machine tool orders amounted to 97.704 billion yen, a decrease of 15.8% year-on-year decline of 6.6%, the 25th consecutive month of year-on-year rise termination.
Domestic and foreign demands, January, Japan machine tool orders amounted to 28.475 billion yen, a decrease of 19.5% year-on-year decline of 9.9%; overseas machine tool orders amounted to 69.229 billion yen, a decline of 14.1% year-on-year decline of 5.1%.
